# Prospector

The *Prospector* pinball machine, released in 1977 by Segasa under its Sonic brand, is an electro-mechanical machine featuring a western theme inspired by prospecting for gold. The game’s backglass notably features a comedic depiction of prospectors, which some sources suggest is based on the Laurel and Hardy film *Way Out West.*
