# Playmec Flippers

Playmec Flippers is a small Italian pinball manufacturer founded in the mid-1970s in San Lazzaro di Savena by entrepreneur Pino Dal Bagno, known for a brief run of electro-mechanical and early solid-state machines aimed at the Italian market. Its best-known release is Speed Rush (1975), a single-player wedgehead-style electro-mechanical game featuring artwork attributed to Gottlieb artist Gordon Morison and a playfield with pop bumpers, drop targets and a five-captive-ball mechanism designed to emulate U.S. machines. Playmec also produced a rare solid-state adaptation of Gottlieb’s Tiger rebranded for Italy as El Tigre around 1977, and although the company closed by the late 1970s its machines remain rare and sought-after by collectors and historians of vintage pinball. Our catalog highlights Playmec titles such as Speed Rush and Bank Shot / Sure Shot, celebrating the company’s role in 1970s Italian pinball history and offering distinctive Italian-made vintage pinball machines for collectors and enthusiasts of EM and early solid-state pinball.
