About Spinball
Spinball S.A.L. was a Spanish pinball manufacturer based in Fuenlabrada near Madrid, founded in the mid-1990s by former Inder employees as a worker-owned firm to continue domestic pinball production during a period of global industry decline. The company produced a small, memorable lineup of three collectible pinball machines—Mach 2 (Mach 2.0 Two), Jolly Park, and Verne’s World—released between 1995 and 1996 and prized today for their scarcity and distinctive mechanical creativity. Mach 2 carried forward an Inder jet-fighter design with stylized playfield props, Jolly Park delivered a lighthearted amusement-park theme featuring a unique “Magnetic House” ball-lock elevator, and Verne’s World was Spinball’s widebody flagship inspired by Jules Verne, complete with a moving octopus toy, a hot-air-balloon multiball trigger, and a volcano eruption effect. Technologically the machines kept pace with mid-1990s standards—dot-matrix displays, multiball gameplay—and the company experimented with materials like acrylic playfields and inventive mechanical toys to create a distinct Spanish pinball aesthetic. Despite its ambition and creative designs, Spinball ceased operations by the end of 1996 after producing only limited runs, making its Mach 2, Jolly Park, and Verne’s World machines highly sought-after by collectors of vintage and European pinball.
