Alben

Alben was a French pinball manufacturer that built electro-mechanical machines from 1957 to 1964, run by Albert Benaïm. Like other small French shops of the era, Alben largely built its games on existing American designs rather than developing playfields from scratch.

Much of Alben's catalog adapted Gottlieb machines for French operators: Texan (1960) and Wagon Train (1960) carried the names of their same-year Gottlieb originals, and Samba (1961) is the company's best-known machine today. Its last recorded machines — Big Champ, Super Alben, and The Tierce — date to 1964, closing a known catalog of 17 titles across roughly seven years of production.
