Barni

Barni SA was a pinball and arcade-machine manufacturer based in Barcelona, Spain. Its documented output runs from 1985 to 1987, when it produced seven pinball titles alongside a handful of arcade video-game cabinets, part of a wave of small Spanish manufacturers — including Juegos Populares, Peyper, and Inder — that built pinball machines during the country's mid-1980s arcade boom.

Barni's 1985 pinball lineup included Shield, Champion 85 (whose electronics were designed by Dimicro SA), and Red Baron, a solid-state, World War I aviation-themed machine for one to four players. The company followed with Comando, Saturno, and Fighter, and had a further title, Simbad, that never advanced past the prototype stage. The same period also saw Barni build arcade video cabinets, including Olimpiada, a conversion of Track & Field, and Turbo, based on Pole Position II. No Barni releases are documented after 1987.
