Centro Matic S.A.

Centro Matic S.A., known in Spanish arcade records as Centromatic SA, was a pinball and arcade-game manufacturer based in Madrid, Spain. It was founded by Florentino Martínez, who also founded the arcade company Billport S.A. and co-founded Faer.

Centromatic's documented pinball line ran from 1973 to 1978: eleven electromechanical, single-player machines. Fireball (1973), a single-player rework of Bally's 1972 machine of the same name, and Jarama (1973) — named for the Circuito del Jarama racetrack north of Madrid — were followed by Black Hawk and Libra (1974), Everest and Vikingos (1975), and Flying High (1977, reissued as a four-player solid-state machine in 1978), alongside the undated Dancing, Derby, Moto Cross, and Ruleta.

After 1978 the company moved away from pinball and into video arcade games, producing Spanish-market versions of contemporary hits — including an officially licensed Pac-Man version, Come Cocos, in 1981 — alongside titles based on Galaxian, Scramble, Space Invaders, and Lunar Rescue. Records of its catalog end in 1982.
