Giuliano Lodola

Giuliano Lodola operated a pinball workshop in Avenza, a district of Carrara in Tuscany, Italy, active from 1978 to 1981. Rather than designing original machines, the shop rebuilt American pinball machines — most often Gottlieb and Williams games, sometimes reconstructing old machines and sometimes assembling them from unofficially reproduced parts — and sold them in Italy, often under new backglass art and, in most cases, new model names, a common practice among small operators of the period.

The titles linked to the workshop run from the electromechanical Golden Arrow (1978), which kept the name of the Gottlieb game it copied, through solid-state machines such as Black Hole (1980), Black Rider (1980-1981), and Zoser (1981), several of them catalogued under more than one name. No releases are documented after 1981.
