Haggis Pinball

Haggis Pinball was founded in September 2018 by Damian Hartin, a Melbourne, Australia-based IT consultant who set out to design and build a pinball machine from scratch after buying a Pin*Bot at auction. Hartin developed two concepts in parallel: an original theme called Ghosts, later renamed Wraith, and Celts, a design built around the Scottish Highland Games and named for his own Scottish heritage. Celts was shown as a whitewood at the Texas Pinball Festival in March 2019 and as a finished prototype at Pinball Expo in Chicago and Flipout in Melbourne that October, with pre-orders opening on November 1, 2019. It became Haggis Pinball's first commercial release.

In April 2021, Haggis Pinball announced its second title, Fathom Revisited, a licensed remake of Bally's 1981 title Fathom produced in partnership with Planetary Pinball Supply. It was built on updated electronics, RGB lighting, and an alternate ruleset alongside the original game code. In July 2023 the company announced a second Classics remake, Centaur Revisited, based on Bally's 1981 Centaur, again in partnership with Planetary Pinball Supply. It was planned as a combined run of 300 machines.

Production of both remakes slowed through 2023 and into 2024 amid parts-sourcing and funding problems. In February 2024, Hartin told Fathom Revisited and Centaur Revisited buyers that the company needed to refinance and would scale back manufacturing further. On July 18, 2024, Haggis Pinball ceased trading; Hartin, the company's sole shareholder, voted to wind up the business as insolvent, and Cathro & Partners were appointed as liquidators.
