LTD do Brasil

LTD do Brasil was a pinball manufacturer based in Campinas, a city in the interior of São Paulo state. It built machines in the years after a July 1976 CAPRE resolution began reserving Brazil's computer market for domestic industry, a policy that caught pinball imports as well and pushed local firms into producing their own machines.

The company developed its own electronics rather than buying boards abroad, running its games on Motorola's 6802 processor and later on the 6803. Playfield layouts and artwork followed successful American titles, and the same foreign machine often reached Brazilian arcades twice over: Bally's Xenon became Zarza at Taito do Brasil and Zephy at LTD. Other titles, among them the 1980 release Martian Queen, carried themes of their own.
