Máquinas Automáticas Computerizadas, S.A. (MAC) was founded in January 1982 in Alcobendas, near Madrid, by a group of former Petaco professionals — among them Rafael Domínguez Hernández, who had designed Petaco's System III pinball hardware and at MAC built its successor, System IV, the platform behind every MAC machine and several from other Spanish makers, including CIC Play.

MAC's first pinball, Mac's Galaxy, reached the market in 1986, followed by Mac Jungle, Space Train, and Space Panther, with some titles also sold as conversion kits; a second, unrelated Mac Jungle arrived in 1995, and the company's last pinball, NBA Mac, came out in 1996 — the year pinball manufacturing ended in Spain altogether. MAC itself carried on making coin-operated gaming machines into the 2010s alongside security electronics and bingo equipment.
