Mocean

Mocean is the name pinball developer Michael Ocean publishes his own games under. Ocean came to the P3, Multimorphic's modular platform, through Multimorphic's own titles; the company credits him as lead developer on Weird Al's Museum of Natural Hilarity and Final Resistance. Dungeon Door Defender, released in September 2023, was his first solo, third-party release.

Because the P3 takes swappable playfield modules and downloadable game software, a Mocean release is an application rather than a cabinet. Dungeon Door Defender is designed for the Heist playfield module, with The Princess Bride module supported as well, and is sold through Multimorphic's store. The game crosses pinball with tower defense. Waves of attackers march on a castle door; the player damages them with the ball, summons defending heroes on specific shots, collects mana for magic effects, and spends gold from standup targets and lane completions on upgrades and repairs between waves. Draining the ball damages the door too, and the game ends when the door's health runs out, so multiplayer is switched off.
