Peyper

Peyper was founded in Madrid in 1977 by Eulogio Pingarrón, a self-taught engineer who had spent 15 years designing pinball machines at Petaco. Pingarrón left Petaco that year and started Peyper, reportedly with financial backing from Petaco founder Juan Paredes, who later founded Juegos Populares. Peyper's first machine was the electromechanical Tally Hoo!! (1977). Before returning to pinball in the mid-1980s, the company built its business making video game cabinets, including 1981 copies of Scramble and Star Castle.

Peyper's solid-state pinball run began with Fantastic World and Odin in 1985, followed by Nemesis in 1986 and Wolf Man and Odisea Paris-Dakar in 1987. Both 1987 machines carried a mechanism Pingarrón patented that let players shift the playfield forward, back, left, and right using knobs built into the cabinet — a feature that returned on Peyper's final pinball machine, Sir Lancelot, released in 1994.
