Playbar s.a.

Playbar S.A. was a pinball manufacturer based in Hospitalet de Llobregat, in the Barcelona metropolitan area. It was one of several small Spanish producers — alongside firms like Rumatic, IDSA, and Cic Play — that appeared in the mid-1980s as the country's pinball output surged, climbing from 7 new models nationwide in 1984 to 33 by 1986.

Playbar's first pinball release was Cobra, an electronic table for up to four players built on "Z-pinball" hardware from EFO S.A. of Barcelona. The company followed it the same year with Bloody Roller, a four-player table with an American football theme and LED score displays. Playbar introduced both machines together at its stand at Spain's FER trade fair in 1987. By 1988 the company's catalog had expanded beyond pinball to include a bingo machine, a darts machine, and a video game cabinet called Videoet 1, but no further pinball titles from Playbar are documented.
