Skit-B Pinball

Skit-B Pinball was a Michigan-based boutique pinball manufacturer founded by Kevin Kulek and Aaron Klumpp, whose name was an acronym for "Some Kids In The Basement." The company began developing a pinball machine themed on the 1987 film Predator around mid-2011. In April 2012, Skit-B opened preorders for a limited run of 200 to 250 machines priced at $4,750 each, with half due at the start of production and the balance due before shipping. The whitewood and later prototypes toured pinball shows through 2012, and by Pinball Expo that October all reserved spots in the run had been claimed.

In 2013, Twentieth Century Fox sent Skit-B a cease-and-desist notice requiring removal of all Predator-related promotional material, though the company continued developing and showing the game. Klumpp left the project after Pinball Expo in October 2013, leaving Kulek as sole principal. In June 2014, Skit-B announced a second machine, Experts of Dangerous, built around Mythbusters hosts Adam Savage and Jamie Hyneman, but it was never produced. By January 2015, Fox confirmed that Skit-B had never held a license for the Predator name or its assets and had been told repeatedly to halt production; only about ten playfields had been assembled by that point. Skit-B began refunding preorder customers in April 2015, and the Predator project ended without completing production.
