Dutch Pinball Exclusive (DPX)

Dutch Pinball Exclusive, known as DPX, was a limited-run pinball manufacturer based in Herkenbosch, Netherlands. Dutch Pinball founder Barry Driessen launched DPX in 2024 as a joint venture with designer Melvin Brouwer-Williams, operating out of a factory across the street from Dutch Pinball's own building. The new brand was built to produce small, high-end runs for collectors rather than the larger production runs of Dutch Pinball's main line.

DPX's only completed release was Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, revealed on October 7, 2024, and shown publicly the same month at Pinball Expo in Schaumburg, Illinois. Brouwer-Williams designed the game around a black-and-white concept and physical assets he had acquired from John Popadiuk's defunct Zidware project, adding a color playfield, RGB lighting throughout, a Magna-Flip upper playfield, and a hand-painted, 3D-sculpted art package by Lior of The Art of Pinball. The machine was capped at 500 units, with 300 allocated for North America. Production and delivery of the game's included Cheshire Cat topper ran behind schedule after launch.

A second title, Retro Atomic Zombie Adventureland, based on design work originating with John Popadiuk's Zidware and later developed by the bankrupt Deeproot Pinball, was nearing completion when new investors joined Dutch Pinball in early 2026. Dutch Pinball and Brouwer-Williams disagreed over commercial terms for the second game, and on February 9, 2026, Brouwer-Williams announced he was stepping away from DPX, ending the joint venture. Dutch Pinball said it would finish the remaining Alice's Adventures in Wonderland units and resolve outstanding topper issues, while Brouwer-Williams retained the rights to Alice, Retro Atomic Zombie Adventureland, and his other designs. He joined American Pinball as creative director on February 17, 2026.
