Mambelli

Mambelli was the trade name used by L & V Mambelli, a company in Cesena, Italy, that made conversion kits rather than original pinball machines. Instead of building new games from scratch, the company modified existing electromechanical tables with new backglasses and playfield art, turning them into different titles. Its best-documented kit converted Gottlieb's 1975 Tiger into Buck Rogers, reusing artwork from Gottlieb's own licensed Buck Rogers machine, cut down to fit the smaller backbox. Period advertising for the kit dates to 1979.

Italian collector records also credit Mambelli with two further conversion kits: Gorgar, built on the existing Jungle Life table, and Kiss, built on the Space Orbit table. No further records establish how long the company operated or whether it made anything beyond these three conversions.
