Pinball Brothers

Pinball Brothers was incorporated in Cheltenham, England, in June 2017, formed by investors who had helped refinance Heighway Pinball — the company behind the original Alien pinball machine — before Heighway itself went under in April 2018. Swedish businessman Daniel Janson, one of the new company's founding directors, went on to run it as chief executive from its base in Örebro, Sweden. Pinball Brothers had bought the Alien license and many of the game's components through its own accounts during Heighway's final years, so when Heighway closed, it reclaimed its remaining inventory and took it home to Scandinavia.

The company announced its Alien remake in December 2020, offering a voucher covering at least half of what earlier Heighway customers had lost toward a new machine, and the first machines shipped in early 2021 through manufacturing partner Pedretti Gaming in northern Italy. Queen — Live in Concert was revealed in July 2022, a licensed title built around fourteen live tracks and callouts from surviving band members. Pinball Brothers and Pedretti formalized their partnership in late 2022 as Euro Pinball Corp, an Italian joint venture pairing Pinball Brothers' game design with Pedretti's production line.

ABBA, the company's third title, followed in April 2024. Built around more than twenty ABBA tracks, it premiered at a launch event in Örebro held exactly 50 years after the band's Eurovision Song Contest win. Predator, a wide-body machine licensed from the 1987 film, was revealed in June 2025, introducing the FAST Pinball control system in place of the company's own electronics. In November 2023, Örebro County's business development agency ALMI named Pinball Brothers its Export Success of the Year for the company's international sales growth.
