WhizBang Pinball

WhizBang Pinball is a boutique pinball design studio founded in 2009 by designers Greg Freres and Dennis Nordman, known for blending retro electro-mechanical styling, hand-drawn artwork and modern solid-state reliability to produce art-forward, collectible home pinball machines and design collaborations, most notably Whoa Nellie! Big Juicy Melons, which WhizBang developed and later partnered with Stern Pinball to bring to market. WhizBang’s original Whoa Nellie conversions were extremely limited, created from 1957 Gottlieb donor machines and featuring mechanical score reels, bells, crate-style cabinets and vintage-inspired gameplay—highlighting the company’s focus on boutique pinball design, limited-run collectibles and industry collaborations that marry classic pinball aesthetics with modern manufacturing and distribution.
