Expo part 2: Judge Dredd redemption, Avatar gameplay impressions, venue visits, and future of pinball design.
BASH Pinball Podcast hosts discuss their Pinball Expo experience in part two, covering visits to Arizona (father's Judge Dredd machine, Electric Bat venue), and extensive hands-on time with Avatar and other games. They share personal anecdotes about ear incidents and scorpion encounters, praise Judge Dredd as an underrated classic, and express excitement about Avatar as an innovative, complex game that represents the future of pinball design across multiple manufacturers.
On the way to Chicago Expo, Don goes to Arizona and plays Judge Dredd, and then visits the Electric Bat Arcade (Matt is jealous). At Expo, Matt and Don get hands-on with Jersey Jack’s Avatar for the first time. Afterward, they play the homebrew ‘Saw Pinball’ and then learn how to play ‘Stall Ball’ at the Pinball Media Mixer.
