Summary
BlahCade hosts share production stories, then deep-dive Star Race electrical repairs and grounding diagnostics.
Chris Friebus and Jared Morgan discuss their personal experiences in film/TV production (including work on South Park) before pivoting to detailed troubleshooting of Star Race restoration. Jared diagnoses a complex electrical grounding issue in his System 80 machine through methodical testing, discovers a faulty earth strap connection, and discusses preparing the machine for an August exhibition. The episode concludes with discussion of Zen's Williams mobile app pricing and monetization strategy.
If you’ve ever tried to diagnose a fault on a Pinball machine, you’ll know how frustrating it can sometimes be. Jared had just such a problem last week with his Star Race. Chris has been diving into the stats side of Williams Pinball more and has yielded some interesting insights from the data collected. There’s some interesting movie talk in this episode as well that breaks up the show a bit. Enjoy, and let us know what you think.
