Cary Hardy demonstrates sewing machine oil nearly doubles pinball spinner performance.

Cary Hardy demonstrates the use of Zoom spout premium sewing machine oil on pinball machine spinners, showing a before-and-after comparison using Sonic the Hedgehog's spinner with switch test mode to measure spin counts. He documents nearly double the spins (30 average before, 53-58 after) with just a small drop of oil applied to each side of the spinner, addressing the question of whether this maintenance technique constitutes cheating in competitive play.
