From the creator

Untold Pinball Stories – Episode: George Gomez At the Dutch Pinball Museum, we believe pinball is more than machines. It’s about people. Stories. Legacy. Episode #14 of Five Minutes to Tilt didn’t exactly make things easy for us. The audio wasn’t cooperating, and halfway through the interview even the camera decided to fall over. Luckily, we managed to save the conversation. And we’re very glad we did, because our guest is George Gomez. George takes us back to the toys of his childhood. Toys he would unexpectedly encounter again many years later, in a very special place. He also talks about his surprising role in the history of Pac-Man. And trust us, there’s more to that story than you might think. From his legacy in video games like TRON, the story eventually leads to pinball. Because how do you actually get the opportunity to design your very first pinball machine? A story about toys. About video games. About Pac-Man. And about how George Gomez eventually found his way to the silverball. This series is our way of preserving the voices behind the silverball. Because pinball history doesn’t only live in backglasses and playfields. It lives in people. Enjoy the story. Recorded by the Dutch Pinball Museum, Rotterdam Five minutes. One untold story.
