Søren Worre on creating competition-focused ROM modifications for classic pinball machines
Jeff Teolis interviews Søren Worre, a Danish pinball enthusiast and ROM modifier known for creating competition-focused fixes for classic Williams and Bally pinball machines. Worre discusses his background discovering pinball in Danish arcades, his programming expertise, and the philosophy behind his ROM modifications: fixing bugs, balancing scores, and removing luck-stealing mechanics to make games fairer for tournament play. Notable examples include Radical, The Addams Family, Roller Games, and Junkyard.
