Synopsis
Mike Boon visits the Grasley Garage to troubleshoot a heavily damaged Fathom machine that had its playfield swapped by a previous technician. The restoration team diagnoses multiple electrical gremlins including a sabotaged solenoid expander board (with scratched traces), corrosion on the MPU, intermittent switch issues, and shorts. They cannibalize parts from the Centaur machine (solenoid expander, lamp driver, solenoid driver board, and an All-tech MPU) to isolate problems. Meanwhile, Knight Rider restoration work progresses with new playfield parts, decals, and cabinet work ongoing. Centaur eventually boots and plays, with discussion of its rare tilt warning feature.
