The Pinball Podcast
1 hr
Summary
Pinball community chat covering tournaments, industry closures, Barrels of Fun milestones, and personal reflections.
In this episode of The A Pinball Podcast, hosts Jess and Jeff discuss their tournament experiences since March, including Pinball Showdown and the Bosque River Brawl, sharing stories about game selections and memorable moments. They cover recent industry news including Ninja Eclipse sold-out run, Metallica Remastered (Premium/LE) announcement and art redesign criticism, and the closure of Haggis Games. Jess shares deeply personal updates about losing her mother in April, her meaningful work at Barrels of Fun (which has shipped over 600 Labyrinth machines), and the recent hiring of Butch Peel as manual writer. The episode concludes with brief discussions of X-Men pinball and observations about game design.
After another modest gap in publishing, The Pinball Podcast returns with episode 225. Jess and Jeff go over recent(ish) news, play a very confused version of The Hurry Up, and discuss recent tournament almost glory. It's a fine show.
