We're just back from Hong Kong, where we got to play Prototype 2.0 of the "Alice Goes to Wonderland" pinball machine. This version includes three big updates: a new playfield layout, Carlos Mendoza III's artwork applied to the playfield and back glass, and the first version of our gameplay code. Check it out! Synopsis
Peter from Wonderland Amusements provides an in-depth development update on Alice Goes to Wonderland, a homebrew pinball machine project. The team recently returned from Hong Kong where they inspected prototype 2.0, featuring finalized Carlos Mendoza backglass artwork, a new playfield layout with 3D printed elements, and functional game code. Initial playtesting showed strong solenoid response and engaging gameplay, though minor layout adjustments are needed; a Kickstarter campaign is planned for mid-March 2025.
