About
Homepin is a pinball and arcade manufacturer founded in 2013 by Mike Kalinowski, an Australian electronics engineer who had spent years refurbishing and redesigning pinball control boards before moving into full machine production. The company set up manufacturing in Shenzhen, China, then relocated its factory to Taiwan around 2020, where it now operates as Homepin Taiwan Co. Ltd. in Kaohsiung.
Homepin's first game, Thunderbirds, a licensed title based on the 1960s Gerry Anderson television series, arrived in February 2018 after about four years of development. This Is Spinal Tap followed, revealed at Pinfest in Melbourne in September 2022 and shipping to customers by September 2023. In 2024 the company announced Blues Brothers, marketed as the first open-source commercial pinball machine, with owners able to modify its software; the first units reached customers in early 2025.
Homepin sells its machines today alongside replacement parts, kits, and service manuals for older pinball hardware, continuing the control-board work the company started with.
