Rally Play

Over the next eight years Rally released around twenty pinball titles, including Beach Games (1962), Three Musketeers (1964), and Saloon (1965). In 1966, Rally Girl introduced a line the company marketed as Fliptronic: electromechanical machines with digital scoring displayed on nixie tubes, paired with an electronic sound card that produced four distinct tones for scoring events. Demand was strong enough by mid-1967 that Rally converted a second factory, in Embrun in the Hautes-Alpes, to build nothing but Fliptronic machines. The Fliptronic line continued through Playboy and West Club (1967) and Comics and Schuss (1968) before ending with Flower's Child in 1969, Rally's last release. Production stopped that year, and the Nice operation returned to making industrial and military electronics under a new name, SAFARE.
