Eulogio Pingarrón was a pioneering figure in Spanish pinball, playing a crucial role in the industry’s evolution from the 1960s through the 1990s. As a designer, engineer, and innovator, he helped shape Spain’s pinball manufacturing sector, first at Petaco, S.A., where he adapted and improved American designs, and later as co-founder of Peyper, where he developed original Spanish pinball machines. His technical expertise, creative vision, and relentless passion led to over 50 pinball and arcade machine designs, many of which remain highly regarded by collectors and enthusiasts today.
Pingarrón’s contributions extended beyond game design—he was instrumental in modernizing Spanish pinball manufacturing, pioneering innovations in playfield mechanics and machine durability. His legacy includes iconic titles like Rey de Diamantes, Icarus, and Sir Lancelot, as well as his influence on companies like Juegos Populares and Recreativos Franco. Recognized internationally, he became the first Spaniard inducted into the Pinball Expo Hall of Fame in Chicago in 2020, cementing his place in the history of the game.
