BDYETP 52: A Punny, Deep-Rooted Avenging

Avengers Infinity Quest impresses; Deep Root's Raza reveal catastrophically fails after beta event feedback.

Nick Lane and Kevin Manne of Buffalo Pinball discuss major recent pinball industry developments: Stern's new Avengers Infinity Quest (designed by Keith Elwin with art by Zombie Yeti), which represents a re-do of a previously underwhelming Avengers game, and the dramatic collapse of Deep Root Pinball reveal event. Deep Root canceled their public launch of Raza after inviting six media personalities to a private event, citing technical issues and negative feedback that forced them to postpone. The hosts analyze leaked photos of the Raza cabinet, criticizing its sharp lock bar edges, unconventional backbox design, misaligned flippers, and expensive innovations (Pin Bar apron screen, unusual speaker placement) that add cost without clear gameplay benefits.
