DPP #133 "It was Lawlor all along! LE price drops"
Don’s Pinball Podcast
35 min
Summary
Incomplete pinball code at $13k price point unsustainable; John Wick LE prices collapse from $13k to $11k.
Don discusses incomplete code releases in pinball (particularly John Wick and Venom), compares the trend to video games shipping with day-one patches, and argues for either more feature-complete releases or dynamic pricing to reflect game quality and market reception. He also corrects earlier misinformation about Pat Lawlor designing Funhouse, reports on John Wick LE price drops from $13k to $11k, and highlights American Pinball deep discounts on Legends of Valhalla.
Wow are LE's available at incredible value prices, not just Stern's, but American Pinball as well. Will we see dynamic pricing come to pinball. Also contest alert!
