Untold Pinball Stories | Five Minutes to Tilt, season 2, episode 15: Ed Boon Pinball is more than machines. It's about people. And the stories they carry. In this episode: Ed Boon, a legend in the gaming world. Five minutes on a kitchen timer. No script. No second takes. His resume said: I love pinball and video games. A recruiter spotted that line, and in 1986 Ed started at Williams as a pinball programmer. He worked alongside Barry Oursler, Steve Ritchie, Pat Lawlor, Eugene Jarvis and Larry DeMar. And yes, he is the voice of Rudy in FunHouse. How did that happen? Ed tells you. He went on to provide voices for dozens of pinball machines. After pinball came Mortal Kombat. And guess who Ed brought in to record one of its most famous lines? Steve Ritchie. "Finish him!" Pinball history doesn't only live in the machines. It lives in the people who made them. That's why we record these stories. Five minutes. One line on a resume. Enjoy watching. Steve Ritchie. "Finish him!" Vijf minuten. Eén regel op een cv. Veel kijkplezier.
