Alright, so I rolled into Pinball Expo 2026 in Schaumburg thinking I’d do a nice, responsible Day 1 floor tour. Walk around, see a few machines, maybe play one or two, and leave with my dignity and wallet mostly intact. That lasted about eleven minutes. This is the full Day 1 walkthrough of the show floor — hundreds of machines on free play, the expanded Homebrew Village with 45+ custom games and prototypes (including some absolute monsters), the big manufacturer booths, the vendors, the energy, and all the little moments where I completely lost the plot. Stern’s 40th anniversary presence, Jersey Jack’s Sonic setup, American Pinball’s Cirqus Voltaire machines, plus all the weird, wonderful, and slightly unhinged stuff that only shows up when this many pinball people get locked in a convention center together. If you’ve never been, this is the closest you’ll get to feeling the floor without the plane ticket and the inevitable “one more game” spiral. If you have been, you’ll recognize the look on my face when I realize I’ve already been here way too long and still haven’t seen half of it. More Expo coverage coming. Don’t blink.
