Competitive Pinball Is a Real Sport and This Is What It Looks Like

From the creator

They call it the big show. The major leagues. The Spinner Rippers Championships. This is finals — the end of an eight-week season crowning the champion of Ballers League here in Utah. Brisket, brackets, a giant pizza, and some of the best pinball players in the state handling their balls with the grace of true professionals. It's competitive pinball, played completely straight, and it might be the most ridiculous and wonderful thing you watch today. Not a review this time — just a loving look at what a pinball tournament actually looks like from the inside. Huge thanks to Crystal and Kelly for running the league, and to everyone who brought food, games, and a collection to play on. New to pinball or thinking about your first tournament? Crystal writes Mayor of Pinball, a newsletter all about getting into the hobby without feeling out of place: 🕹️ Find machines and leagues near you: pinballmap.com 🎥 New pinball reviews every Thursday on The Skill Shot.
