David Fix of the Pinball Expo discusses major improvements to Pinball Expo 2022 (37th annual, Oct 19-23 at Renaissance Schaumburg). Key changes include expanded hours (noon Thursday through 2am Sunday), a relocated Bumper Blast party at Interium arcade, removal of vendor/game separation walls creating an integrated 65,000 sq ft hall, 200-300+ free play machines, dedicated tournament space, seminars upstairs, and an in-person factory tour of Jersey Jack Pinball for the first time. Special guests include arcade legend Walter Day, NBA Jams voice Tim Kitzrow, Q*bert designers Warren Davis and Jeff Lee, and voice actor Marc Silk.
