Chicago Gaming Company

Chicago Gaming Company is a pinball and arcade manufacturer based in Cicero, Illinois, just outside Chicago. It began in 2001 as a new division of Churchill Cabinet Company, the cabinet maker founded in 1904 by Ole Gullickson that later built pinball and arcade cabinets for Williams, Midway, and Stern under Roger Duba's ownership. Doug Duba, Roger's son, set up the new venture making foosball tables and MAME-based arcade cabinets before moving into pinball. Its first machine, Vacation America, shipped in December 2003 as a home-market original, with roughly 530 units built.

Chicago Gaming spent the next decade mostly outside the pinball spotlight until it partnered with Planetary Pinball Supply, which holds the manufacturing rights to Williams-era titles, to remake classic Bally/Williams machines. The first, Medieval Madness in 2015, was assembled under a specialty arrangement at Stern Pinball's nearby factory; every remake since has been built at Chicago Gaming's own Cicero plant, starting with Attack from Mars in 2017 and Monster Bash in 2018. Cactus Canyon followed in 2021: the original 1998 Bally machine had its production run cut short at 903 units so the factory could shift to Pinball 2000, leaving its code unfinished, and Chicago Gaming's remake completed the software and added RGB lighting. In 2025 the company released a premium Medieval Madness Merlin Edition with a larger color display and a sculpted, lighted topper.

In 2023, Chicago Gaming released Pulp Fiction, its first original pinball design since Vacation America. Developed with Play Mechanix at the request of director Quentin Tarantino, the game was designed by Mark Ritchie and includes more than 250 lines of film dialogue, sculpted figures of Vincent Vega and Jules Winnfield, and five licensed songs from the soundtrack. Chicago Gaming continues to operate out of its Cicero facility alongside Churchill Cabinet, which also builds cabinets, backboxes, and playfields for other manufacturers.
