Jersey Jack Pinball's Sonic The Hedgehog has finally arrived... and I absolutely love it! Designed by legendary pinball designer Steve Ritchie, this brand-new machine captures everything that makes Sonic such an iconic video game franchise. Fast shots, brilliant flow, fantastic music, gorgeous animations and one of the best upper playfields I've ever played combine to create an incredibly addictive pinball experience. In this video I take you through my first impressions, show plenty of gameplay, explore the playfield in detail and explain why I think Jersey Jack have done such a fantastic job translating a console video game into a real pinball machine. I didn't quite manage progression through the seven Sonic Zones, collecting Chaos Emeralds before taking on Dr. Eggman in boss battles, but the experience definitely makes you feel like you're playing a Sonic game rather than simply a pinball machine. The huge HD display, incredible sound package and spectacular upper playfield all add to what is a seriously fun experience. There's no hiding it... this is one of the most enjoyable new pinball machines I've played in a long time. It might just be the most fun I've had with my clothes on!
