Episode 19 - TRANSFORMERS
More than meets the... guy? lies? static Optimus Primes? In this episode of NudgeCast, Ian and Shane discuss the game which Shane recently played at the Stern Pinball media day last week. Is it any good? Should you buy it? Listen and find out.
Kineticist’s take
Stern's new Transformers pinball impresses with code and layout but disappoints on mechanical toys.
Synopsis
Shane Told of Silverstein visited Stern Pinball for a hands-on preview of the new Transformers pinball machine designed by Elliot Eismin, with Elizabeth Gieske as lead programmer (Stern's first female lead programmer). The game features a clean, mid-difficulty layout with strong code completion, excellent voice acting from original Transformers actors, innovative split-flipper competitive modes, and intuitive rules, though it lacks the transforming Optimus Prime toy that was originally planned, leaving some collectors wanting more mechanical toys compared to recent Stern releases like Godzilla.
