Jungle / Wild Life / Jungle King Game Info

JungleWild Life, and Jungle King are pinball machines produced by D. Gottlieb & Co. in the early 1970s, all designed by Ed Krynski with artwork by Gordon Morison. These machines share a jungle theme and feature similar gameplay mechanics, including rollovers that advance the bonus, a kickback in the left outlane, and a gate at the right outlane. The main differences lie in their player capacities and bonus rules: Jungle is a four-player game produced in 1972 with a focus on doubling bonuses on the last ball; Wild Life is a two-player version with similar rules; and Jungle King is a single-player "add-a-ball" version released in 1973, allowing for bonus doubling on every ball under specific conditions.

Jungle / Wild Life / Jungle King Rules

Jungle King

Quickie Version:

UTAD via the side rollovers.

Go-to Flipper:

Balanced

Risk Index:

Very High

Full Rules:

This game is about the rollovers, 5 in an arc along each side of the game. They advance your bonus. Once the bonus is maxed out at 10000, the rollovers are worth 1000 each. Going through the left side lane or left return lane turns on the kickback in the left outlane; going through the ride side lane or right return lane opens the gate at the right outlane. The top center lane lights double bonus; this is your Skill Shot. Unlike its near-twins Jungle and Wild Life, you can get double bonus on every ball but never get it automatically.
