Pinball Hype Index

The Kineticist Hype Index is a daily-updated ranking system that tracks community excitement for 347 potential pinball machine themes. Each theme receives a composite score from 0–100 based on community voting, cultural footprint analysis, franchise nostalgia signals, and production status tracking. The index covers themes across every category—from major entertainment franchises like Transformers and Gremlins to cult favorites and original concepts. Themes are classified by production status: “rumored” (credible industry signals), “wanted” (community demand with no production signal), “produced” (already made as a pinball machine), and “produced old” (vintage productions). The Hype Index helps the pinball community discover which themes are generating the most excitement and gives manufacturers data on community demand.
