Summary
Mike Dymus fixes lamp, IC, and socket issues on an Allied Leisure Getaway and unboxes playfield props from Kulk Pinball.
Mike Dymus of Pinball Shenanigans documents a repair session on an Allied Leisure Getaway, covering a broken lamp diode, a socketed IC replacement on the board, and new lamp sockets, while testing the machine's lights, solenoids, and switches. He also unboxes a care package from Kevin of Col's Pinball and Kulk Pinball, featuring playfield props and a leaf adjustment tool, and briefly tests the props on the machine.
Welcome back, fellow shenaniganders, to another glorious episode of **Pinball Shenanigans!** π°π§ It's time for **Part 16 of the Allied Leisure Getaway restoration**, and this time around, I accomplish what can only be described as a monumental achievement in pinball repair: I spend NUMEROUS HOURS trying to fix THREE LIGHT BULBS. That's right. Three. Tiny. Light bulbs. Somewhere, an electrician is watching this and slowly shaking their head. ππ‘ But wait, there's more! π§ **IC CHIP SURGERY!** I swap out an IC chip, and unbelievably, it actually works! I know, I was surprised too. I was fully prepared to turn a small electronics repair into a much larger electronics disaster, but somehow, success was achieved! π‘ **Lamp Socket Shenanigans!** A couple of lamp sockets get replaced as I continue the seemingly never-ending quest to make this machine illuminate like it was designed to do. β‘ **A RESTORATION MILESTONE!** I think I've finally got ALL the lights, switches, and solenoids working! After all the troubleshooting, repairs, head-scratching, and questionable technical expertise, the Allied Leisure Getaway might finally be coming together. Could this actually be progress? Are we sure this is still my channel?! π¦ **A BOX FROM A FELLOW SHENANIGANDER!** The mail brings a special delivery from one of our fellow pinball enthusiasts! I crack open the box, check out the goodies, and put some new playfield props from **Kolk's Pinball** to the test. And by "put them to the test," I mean attempt to demonstrate them on my machine with all the grace, precision, and professionalism you've come to expect from this channel. So, you know, prepare yourselves. π€£ Three light bulbs, a successful IC chip replacement, new lamp sockets, working switches and solenoids, and some new pinball goodies to play with. All in a day's work... or several days' worth of work, depending on how you count the light bulbs. Grab your favourite beverage, settle in, and enjoy the shenanigans!
