Kineticist’s take
Walt Wood trashes Yukon Yeti as lazy inverted Whitewater with terrible callouts and missing ramp design.
Synopsis
Walt Wood provides a lengthy first impressions video of Yukon Yeti, Turner Pinball third machine designed by Dennis Nordman as an unofficial Whitewater sequel. Wood is highly critical of the game's callouts, music, and playfield design, arguing it appears to be an inverted copy of Whitewater with inferior design choices, particularly the removal of the iconic ramp ending and replacement with a 5-ball lock mechanism. He contrasts modern pinball design unfavorably with classic designers like Dan Langlois and critiques industry-wide quality decline due to oversaturation of manufacturers.
