The podcasters, streamers, YouTubers, and community builders making pinball great, and what they're publishing this week.
Today’s episode is a classic case of “Well… technically, it works!” 😂 I dive back into the Gottlieb Panthera and, after plenty of troubleshooting, finally manage to get the sound working! 🎉 The only problem? It sounds absolutely horrendous. But hey… sound is sound, right? 🤣 We’ll take the victory where we can get it! Then my buddy JC shows up with something a little more exciting — my Addams Family! 🖤 The machine is an absolutely stunning Grasley Garage restoration, and it looks INCREDIBLE. We get it set up, admire all the beautiful work, and of course, we have to play a quick game. And because this is Pinball Shenanigans, naturally things don't go according to plan. 😆 The Addams Family plays beautifully… right up until it decides that “Game Over” isn't enough and proceeds to crash and die on us! 💀🎃 🔧 Panthera troubleshooting 🔊 Panthera sound… technically 😂 Horrendous Gottlieb audio 🖤 A gorgeous fully restored Addams Family 🏠 A fresh setup at the garage 🎮 A quick game 💥 And, of course, an unexpected pinball machine meltdown Two machines. Two very different problems. One episode of Shenanigans. If you enjoy pinball repairs, restorations, troubleshooting, and machines that have absolutely no respect for your plans, you're in the right place! 😎

Pictured in thumbnail: Me staring at the 2-point font showing how many hits to multiball, then me staring at the 2-point font about the instruments, knowing I'm going to ignore that entirely because everyone else does. Then me giving subtle disdain to "Tom Sawyer" showing on screen as I think about the orbit shots that the mode starts with... and how the "shot watcher" hates me when stacking Tom Sawyer mode with multiball. Then me realizing this is NOT the Tom Sawyer mode, it's just the song choice. Then, me wishing I really could start "Tom Sawyer" by selecting the song on the plunge...

Today is a BIG pinball day! 🎉 Kevin and Dutch come over to pick up my Lord of the Rings pinball machine as part of a trade for The Addams Family! We load up Lord of the Rings and take it over to the Grasley Garage, where we get it set up. While we’re there, we take a look around at all the incredible pinball projects currently underway. Dutch has been making great progress on the Sea Hunt by Allied Leisure — one of the quirkiest shaker pinball machines ever made. These machines are pretty rare, and it’s always cool to see one being brought back to life! 🦈🌊 We also check out the progress on several other projects: 🔨 Abra ca dabra — the cabinet stencil job is coming along beautifully 🏀 Harlem Globetrotters — cabinet stencil work is done 💰 Monopoly — new decals have been installed and it’s looking amazing 🎰 Plus plenty of other pinball goodness around the garage! It’s always a dangerous trip to the Grasley Garage because there are so many incredible machines and restorations to check out. 😆 Come along as Lord of the Rings finds its new home and we tour the latest projects at the Grasley Garage!

Steve Ritchie shares pinball history: designer anecdotes and the Black Knight design theft story.
Untold Pinball Stories – Episode: Steve Ritchie At the Dutch Pinball Museum, we believe pinball is more than machines. It’s about people. Stories. Legacy. In this special episode of Five Minutes to Tilt, we take a little more time. Because with Steve Ritchie, five minutes simply isn't enough. No script. No second takes. Just one story. Or rather... a few. Steve, designer of classics including Black Knight, High Speed, Terminator 2: Judgment Day, and Star Trek, shares his trademark humor and some remarkable stories from his legendary career. He reveals his surprisingly creative advice for convincing your partner there's always room for another pinball machine. He tells how he stood up to the president of Williams after being publicly insulted himself. And he explains why the iconic Flash Gordon pinball machine owes far more to him than most people realize. A story about humor. About standing your ground. And about one of the most influential designers the pinball world has ever known. This series is our way of preserving the voices behind the silverball. Because pinball history doesn’t only live in backglasses and playfields. It lives in people. Enjoy the story.
